Eligibility Requirements
Overseas Chinese students or foreign youths who have graduated from high school or above and wish to learn more about Taiwan’s strengths in educational and academic resources through participation in the TEEP program. The goal is to encourage them to pursue further studies in Taiwan or contribute their expertise to Taiwan in the future.
Individuals who already hold a doctoral degree or who are currently studying/researching in Taiwan are not eligible.
Application Process
Around late October each year, the Ministry of Education (MOE) notifies universities to begin accepting project proposals for the following year.
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) will then inform departments in relevant fields of the application opening and remind faculty members to note the deadline.
Faculty members who intend to apply must complete all required information on the application platform before the deadline.

Q1: Can I select the students myself?
Yes. You may first communicate with potential overseas students. If your project is approved by the TEEP office, students will then be able to find your project on the TEEP platform and submit applications to you. The final admission decision is made by you, the faculty host.
Q2：What is the maximum number of students I can accept?
As long as your project funding allows, there is currently no limit on the number of students.
Q3：Can I apply for dormitory accommodation for my students in advance?
Please wait until the student has obtained their visa. After that, you may submit the Short-term Internship/Exchange Student Dormitory Application Form on their behalf.
Please note that TEEP students are short-term interns, not regular exchange students, so accommodation is not guaranteed. If dormitory beds are full, the supervising professor will need to assist the student in finding off-campus housing.
Q4：an students who have already graduated and are currently employed come to Taiwan for TEEP?
Yes. As long as they do not hold a doctoral degree, the project host may invite them.
Q5：Can the stipend be issued in a single payment, or must it be disbursed monthly?
This is decided by the project host (you). Both methods are acceptable.
Q6：When should students apply for visa extension?
Students may apply for an extension within 15 days before their visa expires.
They should ask their supervising professor or departmental assistant for an extension request letter (with Chung Yuan Christian University letterhead + college stamp).
Students must bring a 2-inch photo and apply for the extension at the National Immigration Agency Taoyuan Service Center.
Q7：What should be done if a student’s visa expires before they apply for an extension?
The student must leave Taiwan, return to their home country, and reapply for a visa before coming back.
Q8：What documents are required for project completion?
Please prepare the following items (refer to templates available on the TEEP platform):
- Final Report: Combine the report of all students into one report (recommended maximum: 5 pages).
- Completion Roster: Information regarding students’ status after completing the program.
