依據新修正「入出國及移民法」規定，3月1日起在臺灣居留證逾期罰鍰提高五倍，請持有居留證的同學設定手機提醒在居留證到期前一個月前辦理延期，以免被重罰，而且逾期超過29天無法重辦居留證，必須返國後申請簽證再來臺。最早可以在居留證到期前三個月辦理延期。

逾期天數罰款金額明細：

※ 01-10天罰10,000元

※ 11-30天罰20,000元

※ 31-60天罰30,000元

※ 61-90天罰40,000元

※ 90天以上罰50,000元

※Important Information for ARC※

According to the newly revised "Immigration Act", the penalty for overdue ARC in Taiwan will be increased five times from March 1^st 2024. In order to avoid heavy fines, students are holding an ARC please set a reminder to apply for an extension one month before the expiration of ARC. The ARC cannot be re-issued if it is overdue for more than 29 days. You must go home to apply for a new resident visa than return to Taiwan. The extension can be applied for at the earliest three months before the ARC expires.

※ 11-30 days: NTD$20,000

※ 61-90 days: NTD$40,000

※ Over 91 days: NTD$50,000
