Sister-School Foreign Exchange Student Application and Reporting Procedures

Application Information & Reporting Procedures

Each year CYCU accepts exchange students upon the recommendation of foreign sister-schools; international students interested in applying for the CYCU exchange program must please contact their school’s office of international affairs (or cross-strait education) to confirm that they meet the qualifications to take part in the exchange program.

Application Procedures

1. Submit exchange student program application to your school’s office of international affairs (or cross-strait education)

2. Obtain a recommendation from your school’s office of international affairs (or cross-strait education)

 3. Your school’s office of international affairs (or cross-strait education) will submit the application form and documents to the CYCU Office of International and Cross-Strait Education

4. CYCU will examine the application documents

5. The foreign sister-school will be notified on the results of the examination

6. The applicant will receive a “letter of admission” or a “letter of rejection”

1. Application Form

2. Resume

3. Study Plan

4. Copy of Student I.D.

5. Official Academic Transcript

6. Proof of Enrollment 

7. Copy of Passport 

8.  1 x ID photo (JPG file) (2 inches colored with white background)

9. One recommendation letter

10. Supporting Document-Proof of Language Ability (Chinese or English)

Fall Semester: May 15 
Spring Semester: November 19

Semester Schedule
Fall Semester: August to January (classes begin in September and finish mid-January)
Spring Semester: February to July (classes begin in February and finish late-June)

Registration and reporting 
All foreign exchange students must register and report according to the following procedures. Those who do not follow the procedures will not be issued their student IDs.

 1. Office of International and Cross-Strait Education

  • Collect form and fill out personal information

 2. Pay fees at the Cashier Section

  • Pay for dormitory and student insurance

 3. Office of International and Cross-Strait Education

  • Collect student ID

 4. Department of Study

  • Collect course information sheet and class selection form
  • Submit personal information form
